Senior Center “Wish List”

You can also help out the SCV Senior Center with an in-kind contribution. Our current “wish list” includes the following:


  1. BulletAn electric typewriter for Supportive Services Dept.

  2. BulletA wall unit that can keep all of the contracts on, larger than a standard book shelf so that it will hold notebooks.- Administration

  3. Bullet2 drawer legal size filing cabinet – Handiworker Program Wish Granted!

  4. BulletA very much needed desktop computer stand –Administration.

  5. BulletAn electrical outlet and space heater at the Trips and Tours desk.

  6. BulletA large white board on wheels (and white board paraphernalia) Recreation (Senior Classes)

  7. BulletDarkening blinds for A1 and A2, Recreation (Senior Classes)

  8. BulletA ream of white butcher paper, clear packaging tape, Recreation (Senior Classes)

  9. BulletWork out weights for aerobics (8 pairs of 2# and 3#, 3 pairs of 5# and 8#). Recreation (Senior Classes)

  10. BulletWe also need Ham Radio items– Recreation

  11. BulletWe need someone to count money a couple times a week. It’s done around 8:30 each morning,

  12. Bulletthe congregate & home delivered monies are counted – takes about an hour or so.

  13. BulletWe need someone to dust & clean our modulars on a monthly basis.

  14. BulletWe need our carpets cleaned – maybe someone could get us a nice carpet shampooer and we could even do it ourselves – or better yet . . . new carpet.

  15. BulletPaper!! We use 3 cases of letter-sized paper for each issue of the Mighty Oak. We can always use colored paper for fliers, too.

  16. BulletWe need back up drives for several key computers, external hard drives to back up our documents, pictures, etc.

The Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center Foundation is dedicated to supporting the Santa Clarita Valley Committee on Aging/Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center in its mission of enhancing independence, dignity, and quality of life for senior citizens in our community through community outreach and inclusion, fund development, and creation and support of signature fundraisers that benefit the parent organization.
